How İntaç İnşaat tracks engineering scope and fee versions from request to kickoff

İntaç İnşaat is an Istanbul design firm that has provided structural, seismic, geotechnical and MEP engineering since 2004 and says on its website that it has worked in 30 countries. This case study covers how the firm uses Senitix CRM to hold each client's discipline scope, every fee-proposal revision and the kickoff handoff on one deal, while the engineering itself stays outside the CRM.

About İntaç İnşaat

İntaç İnşaat is a structural and civil engineering design firm founded in Istanbul in 2004. Although “inşaat” is Turkish for construction, its services page lists design and analysis work only. According to its site, it designs in reinforced concrete, steel and timber, assesses buildings for seismic performance and retrofit, and provides geotechnical, post-tensioning, CFD and integrated architectural-mechanical-electrical design, for airports, shopping centers, industrial and energy facilities, transportation infrastructure, and education and residential buildings.

This story covers how the firm tracks a client's request and fee proposal in Senitix CRM through the kickoff handoff. The engineering itself (calculations, drawings and site work) happens outside the CRM.

The challenge

An engineering brief rarely arrives with its scope settled

A structural or MEP request often shows up as an email with a set of drawings attached and no firm list of which disciplines the client actually wants priced. A seismic evaluation, a geotechnical report or a CFD study can turn out to be assumed rather than requested, and nobody notices until the fee looks wrong for the job.

Revisions tend to pile up as separate spreadsheet files and reply-all threads, so a project lead can end up starting from a version the client never actually approved. What often disappears first is not the price itself but the assumptions and exclusions behind it, which is usually where a disagreement over scope starts.

The solution

One deal, from engineering brief to kickoff

The client is the account, each brief becomes a deal, and a go/no-go stage records whether the firm will price the work before anyone builds a fee.

  • Scope every discipline on the deal: Building type, location, the disciplines requested and the design phase are custom fields, with the client's drawings and bid documents attached to the same deal.
  • Version every fee proposal: Each revision is a numbered quote version carrying its assumptions and exclusions as line items, and a discounted fee can route through an approval before it goes out.
  • Hand off the accepted version, not the last email: Once the client accepts a version, a kickoff task names the project lead and carries that exact version forward, so the engineering work starts from the scope that was actually sold.

Want a fee proposal's assumptions to survive the handoff to your project lead?
